The Blackwater Gauntlet is "Thrown".

This year as part of the Sonata Racing programme between Dabchicks Sailing Club, Colne Yacht Club and West Mersea Yacht Club we thought it would be fun to re-introduce as one of the prizes the Black water Gauntlet. This would be awarded to the club with the fewest points based upon the rules below.
There will be eight races in the series over four Saturdays (see the sailing calendar). Start and finish is intended to be at the Molliette Beacon. Races will comprise of Round the Cans and/or Windward/Leeward
Rules
- 1)The teams will be two boat teams.
- 2)Each two-boat team shall comprise of at least one club Sonata.
- 3)Other than the club Sonata's the other boat of the team can only count once in the series.
- 4)All eight races to count, no discards.
- 5)Teams to be nominated before the warning signal.
- 6)Substitution of competitors shall only take place with the approval of Organising Authorities
The Gauntlet is an annual prize and shall be returned to Dabchicks Sailing Club 11 months after award
